I order teas from several different companies, and Amy Lawrence, of Afternoon to Remember Fine Teas in Bothwell, WA, has three flavored black teas that I particularly like: French Caramel Crѐme Brulée, Sweet Royal Delight [named after England's Prince George], and Chocolate Raspberry Truffle. These are her own blends and can't be purchased from any other tea purveyor.
The middle of February I received a letter stating Amy was retiring from the tea blending portion of her business, but will continue to consult, and write and sell her books. Tea orders from her are available through May 11th. The tea portion of her business has been sold to Inspirations Tea Room in Edmond, Oklahoma and orders can be placed with them after May 12th.
I'm glad to know the teas will still be available, but knowing kinks sometimes occur when businesses change hands, I ordered a pound of each tea to ensure I have enough until any kinks are straightened out. My tea arrived this week. These teas not only taste delicious, but they have a wonderful aroma in the dry leaf as well as the steeped tea.
Best wishes, Amy, as you enter this new chapter in your life.
What are some of your favorite teas and tea companies?
That Chocolate Raspberry Truffle tea sounds amazing. I'm glad you have stocked up on your favorites, and I hope the transition to the new owner will go smoothly. Right now, my favorite teas/companies are "Downton Abbey Christmas Tea" by Republic of Tea, and Harney & Sons' Earl Grey Imperial tea. The Republic of Tea website says the Christmas blend will be available again next fall, and I hope to stock up again then. But I'm also open to trying other teas, and Angela brought me several samples, so I may have some new favorites before long.
