On June 6th I wrote about purchasing some light blue Depression dishware. You can read the post here. I promised to share photos when I used the dishes. On June 24th I had a birthday tea for three dear friends where the dishes made their first appearance. I didn't have matching soup bowls, luncheon plates or bread and butter plates, so I mixed and matched my Johann Haviland Blue Garland china.
The Birthday Gals
Iced Tea - Celestial Seasonings Herbal Wild Berry Zinger
Hot Tea - Peach Mango Black Tea
[This looks like a Sadler Teapot, but it's backstamped Churchill, Made in Romania.]
Chilled Blueberry Soup and Savory Cheesy Basil Scones
Broccoli Salad
Tuscan Torte
Chocolate Mound Birthday Cake [I blogged about the recipe here]
I have since acquired the soup bowls, but I'm still searching for luncheon/salad plates and bread and butter/dessert plates.
Lovely table, friends and food! What a fun day!
