Sunday Reflection...

Today is the third Sunday of Advent, and the lighting of the pink [or rose colored] candle, in addition to the two purple candles from week 1 and 2.

It is the Shepherd's Candle, representing Joy!

And there were shepherd's living out in the fields, nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.  An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.  But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid.  I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people.  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is Christ the Lord."  Luke 2:8-11

May we all find true joy in Christ's birth this Christmas - whatever our circumstances.

May God bless your week!

  2. I haven't got Advent candles but I have been reading Advent devotionals -- and enjoying them very much! And a big hearty "Amen" to your comment about finding joy in Christ's birth "whatever our circumstances." He truly IS the reason for the season!
