O'Mara's Dickens Christmas Carol Tea

Yesterday two girlfriends and I attended O'Mara's Dickens Christmas Carol Tea.  I haven't missed one of their monthly teas since March, and while I've enjoyed them all, this was my all-time favorite.

A Christmas Carol book was on each table, as well as fresh sprigs of holly.

The overhead TV screens were in place for Chef Anita's Fruit Cake Scone demonstration.

The three of us ordered Christmas White Tea [flavored with vanilla and chamomile].  It was very good, but stronger than most white teas.

We're all in our places with bright smiley faces!

[L-R:  Lori, Sandy and Me]

I ordered the English Minted Green Pea Soup with Crème Fresh for the Soup Course. Yummy!

The Sandwich Course consisted of  Sausage Rolls; Chicken Terrine with Craisins, Green Olives and Morels;  Yorkshire Pudding topped with a slice of slow roasted Beef; and Cucumber Sandwich on Sweet Egg Bread.   The Sausage Rolls and Yorkshire Pudding were outstanding.

Chef Anita did her scone demonstration during the Sandwich Course.

There were 22 ladies in attendance, but next Tuesday they are expecting sell-out capacity.

The Entree Course was English style Fish Fingers with homemade Tomato Sauce

And Baked Brie with Cranberry Port Wine, Rosemary, and Walnuts, wrapped in Filo Dough served with Fresh Fruit and Crackers.

Desserts were Fruit Cake Scones, English Trifle, and Earl Grey Tea Chocolate Truffles.

It was a wonderful tea with great friends!
