Teapot Purses

In 2004-05 when I was a Sandy Clough tea lady, I came across a teapot-shaped purse online.  They are definitely novelty/conversation purses, because no matter when or where they're carried they always evoke comments from people, which, of course, back in the Sandy Clough tea lady days, was the perfect opportunity to tell people about my tea business and hand them a business card.

The saying goes, "if you like it buy it in every color," and I did!  The purse has two detachable handles - short and shoulder length, and  closes with a magnetic teabag tag.

I don't carry the purses as much as I used to, but when I do they are fun, and convey the message that I'm a tea lover!

Hot Pink and Silver

Neon Green and Sky Blue

Gold and Red

Red Hat Ladies used to love the red purses, and my friend sold several in her tearoom boutique.

  1. How cute! And I love your philosophy of "buy it in every color", too! Those purses are conversation starters for sure.
Hope you have a great weekend!

  3. How fun! Great marketing tool --- but where do you store them all? They aren't the kind of purse to scrunch down for storage.

  4. That is quite a collection of teapot purses. They are attention getters. I remember Denise mentioning her bag just recently too.

  5. Wow, you are set with teapot purses no matter which outfit you choose! That was smart thinking!

  6. Do you still sell the teapot purses? They are lovely!

    1. I never did sell them. I ordered them from a company on-line. A tea room where I used to work sold them in red, but I don't think she sells them anymore.

  7. I have a green one ~ I'm all about tea and yes it's a conversation starter and/or attracts stares from those who are too shy to ask ~ would love for them to come back on the market ~ I would love a silver one ~
