August is Here!

I hope the first four days of August have gone well for you.  I've been indoors working on another Shutterfly album.  I received another unlimited pages coupon, and I couldn't resist.  It has to be finished by Sunday night, so I'm diligently working to complete it.

For lunch today I tried one [of many] recipes for Elvis' famous Peanut Butter & Banana sandwiches that will be served at the retirement center tea in Collierville, TN in October. I'm not a big fan of peanut butter or bananas, so it didn't get five stars from me, but my hubby loved it.  Have you ever eaten a PB & Banana sandwich?

I was happy to secure a caterer for the ladies' tea at my church scheuled for September 24th, so plans are underway for that.

My son Steve's 40-day sabbatical from church is winding down and he'll return home this coming Tuesday.  He's rested, rejuvenated and ready to come home and start ministering to his flock again. Sharon and Brooke flew out to Seattle to be with him the last ten days. Below are a couple of pics he sent home. Brianna couldn't join them as she's in the midst of moving.

Granddaughter Izzy has less than two weeks left on her summer intern job in California and she'll be coming home. We got a card from her today and she said she's learned alot while she's been away but is anxious for home sweet home.  Soon all of my traveing family members will be back home and I'm looking forward to seeing them again.

That's all for this post.  Not much news to blog about, but I wanted to let you know I'm alive and well.
