I took the month of August off from doing a tea presentation at the assisted living facility, but I've chosen my theme for September 25th.
I love Oriental Trading Co. They have merchandise for almost any theme imaginable. I recently ordered 24 faux passports for the resident's, and they arrived in the mail.
Then we'll move on to Portugal where Portuguese princess, Catherine of Braganza, became a tea lover and introduced the beverage to England when she married King Charles II.
From there we'll travel to Paris, London, Russia, Germany [East Frisia], Japan, and come back to tea in the USA. I'll take the tea equipage used in each country, and hopefully this will be a fun theme for the residents.
Each passport has six travel pages with 16 assorted stamps. They come in packages of 12.
Of course, our first stop will be China, the birthplace of tea.

Oh, that sounds like a wonderful program, and the passports are such a special touch.

ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea! I'll have to put on my thinking cap like you the next time an Oriental Trading Company catalog comes in the mail!
