I'm interrupting my Tea Journey series [which is almost complete] to tell you about a little trip I'm taking to visit family.
Below are three of my paternal cousins who visited me in May 2006. They're from Tennessee, Colorado and Louisiana [and a fourth not pictured is from Florida].
They drove my two aunts [their mothers] to Michigan to see my dad while he was still alive. My aunts are pictured below on the left and right. [The lady in the center is a maternal aunt.]
I hosted a little tea party for them when they came.
Six years have swiftly passed since we've seen each other. My cousin contacted me recently to say she was hosting an "all girls" mini reunion at her home and I was invited. I quickly purchased my airplane ticket. The gathering will include everyone in the above photo with the exception of my maternal aunt. I can hardly wait to see everyone again!
I received news today that they've made reservations for Afternoon Tea at the Peabody Hotel while I'm there.

This is the Afternoon Tea description from the hotel's website :
Peabody Afternoon Tea, served in Chez Philippe Dining Room, is the only place in Memphis to experience the elegance of Afternoon Tea in the English manner. Enjoy a three-course menu of tea sandwiches, assorted pastries, and scones from the Peabody Pastry Shop in addition to a variety of teas and caffeine-free children's teas.

I'll be sure to share photos and details when I get back home. Hubby's staying home and holding down the fort, since it's an all girls' gathering.
Have a great time! Looking forward to your photos and descriptions of tea time and special family time.
