The November tea at Ardmore Park Place took place on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, with the theme, "A Bountiful Harvest." 28 ladies signed up - just four shy of full capacity.
I have a large collection of turkey tureens, and they made perfect centerpieces, nestled inside grapevine wreaths.
If you look closely you'll see a cellophane wrapped edible turkey at each place setting. That was each attendee's favor, and later in the program I demonstrated how to make them for their own Thanksgiving tables.
The menu was Harney & Sons Cinnamon Spice Black Tea, Cornmeal Cheddar Scones with Herb Butter, Corn Chowder, Wild Rice and Cranberry Salad, Savory Turkey Muffin Sandwich with Apricot Sweet Potato Slices, and for dessert Apple Crisp and Ice Cream.

I did a demonstration on how to put together a tea themed gift basket that looks expensive, but is actually quite affordable for holiday hostess gifts. The basket contained two mugs, a box of tea, cookies, and a package of beverage napkins. After the basket was assembled it was given to one of the attendees.
The tea concluded with the reminder that there's definitely a "bountiful harvest" pertaining to tea, since over 3,000 varieties abound from the Camellia Sinensis plant - a tea to please every palate!
