Second Annual Ladies' Spring Tea - "Springtime In Paris"

The church Ladies' Spring Tea theme in 2009 was "Springtime in Paris."  This completes my blog posts on the five spring teas I've coordinated at church to date.  Who knows what next year's theme will be, but the possibilities are endless.

Since we were on an imaginary trip to Paris, there was a table at the entrance of the dining room with personalized luggage tags.  It was not only each lady's favor to take home, but it also told her the table where she would be seated.

A local boutique let me take some of their Paris themed clothing to display [in exchange for being mentioned in the program], since Paris is one of the fashion capitals of the world, and everyone shops while visiting Paris!

A young lady at church painted a Parisian scene on a large piece of fabric for her school's senior prom, and I borrowed it to use as a back drop for photographing ladies at the tea.  It was a nice way of reinforcing the Parisian theme too.

The color scheme was pink and black with miniature Eiffel Towers as centerpieces. It was beautiful!   That's pink rosewater in the glasses.

~ Program and Menu ~

French Onion Soup
Chicken Salad Croissant
Profiterole with Fresh Fruit & Whipped Cream
Tea - French Caramel Creme Brulee

One of the young ladies at church was a high school French teacher.  She spent two summers in Paris while in college, in addition to taking her students on trips to Paris.  She had many wonderful photos, and our program was a tour of Paris via her PowerPoint presentation.

A good time was had by all!

  3. I have fond memories of this tea, even though I wasn't there, because this was pre-Phyllis-the-Blogger days, and you sent me some tea and let me share some photos from the event on my blog! I was (and remain) so grateful!

  6. Oh I remember hearing about this special tea. You certainly carried the theme out to a "TEA".
