My hubby and I exchanged our cards and gifts this morning.
This year I received two handmade Valentine cards, pictured above.
The one on the right is a copy of a Victorian calling card.
A Valentine dinner place setting.
We had an early Valentine's dinner at home [so we'd be done when the IT man came with my computer]. The recipes were all from Food Network - Chicken Marsala [Tyler Florence], Rosemary Roasted Potatoes, slightly modified [Ina Garten], and Cauliflower Gratin [Ina Garten]. The recipes are all keepers, and have been prepared before. Hot Cinnamon Spice tea from Harney & Sons filled our teacups. Dessert was going to be simple [chocolates], but we were both too full to eat another bite!
I wanted to serve Courtship Tea because it's perfect for Valentine's Day - a flavored black tea I was introduced to awhile ago, blended exclusively for Donna & Ron Lasko by Harney & Sons. But when I got the gold tin from my tea cabinet, I found it almost empty. Not to worry, a phone call to Donna Lasko has more on its way. Click here to find out how you can order this delicious tea.
