More Summertime Family Fun

It hardly seems possible that a year has lapsed since granddaughter, Tiffany, and her husband, John, were married.  They celebrated their first wedding anniversary on Sunday, and will soon be leaving on an anniversary trip to Italy.  Happy Anniversary, Tiff and John!

The end of July, Lori [my daughter], Jerry, and I went to visit them and see their lovely, vintage house that's about two hours away.  John's refinished the hardwood floors on the main floor, stripped the wallpaper, and is currently fixing the plastered walls before painting. It's lots of work maintaining a house built in 1911, but they're loving it.

We took them a intricately carved, antique, oak table for their entryway that my dad refinished several years ago.  It was the perfect spot for it, and my parents would be so pleased they have it.  I wish I would have taken a photo of it as well as other interior photos, but I will next time.

Granddaughter, Brianna, has been home all summer from college, but she left yesterday to return to Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN where she'll be a junior.  She's an RA so has to go earlier than the other students. I've had the pleasure of enjoying some fun Nana/Granddaughter 'dates' with her this summer at her favorite restaurant, Panera. She's the only granddaughter who drinks lots of tea.

I hate to see summer wind down, but I'm so grateful for the fun times it's brought!  I'm already planning a tea care package for Bri.
