"I pledge allegiance to the Christian Flag, and to the Savior for whose Kingdom it stands. One brotherhood, uniting all mankind, in service and love."
~ Written in 1908 by Methodist Pastor L.H. Hough
The Christian flag dates back to 1897. The colors match those on the American Flag. White represents purity and peace; Blue symbolizes faith and trust, as well as an unclouded sky, representing Heaven, the home of Christians; and Red stands for the blood shed by Christ on Calvary. The cross is the symbol of Christianity.
May God bless your week!
What a great and well-timed post! The Pledge to the Christian Flag takes me straight back to all those Vacation Bible Schools of long ago ... sweet memories.
