When we left Chattanooga around 1:30 p.m., we had a 8 1/2 hour, 563 mile drive before reaching our destination of Celebration, Florida [near Kissimmee]. We decided to drive as far as Valdosta, Georgia [near the Florida state line], and drive the remaining miles on Friday.
Our GPS mistakenly took us to the back entrance of the resort where the street was named Formosa Gardens. The back entrance was gated off, but any tea lover would take a street with that name as an omen that good things were ahead! ;-)
We had two condos on the 4th floor right next to each other. Lori, Tiffany and John had the one bedroom condo [with a hide-a-bed couch in the living room], while Jerry & I shared the two bedroom, two bathroom condo with Jeremy and his family. The screened-in porch in-between the two windows pictured below, was in our condo.
Saturday was an unscheduled day to relax, and enjoy the swimming pool. Isabella was having fun with her water dolphin, and at one point had the whole pool to herself.
It's nice that you can all get away at the same time. We enjoy vacations taken with our daughters and their families too.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Any place is a celebration if family is there, this one is well named.
ReplyDeleteI would like your Lori ... I'd be right there in the shade with her and reading a book!
ReplyDeleteFamily fun memories!
