Sunday Reflection...

Last Wednesday evening the Bible study I attend finished a 13 week study on the life of David, Israel's greatest king.   There's so much to learn from David - his successes and his failures. 73 of the 150 Psalms in the Bible are attributed to him, with the 23rd Psalm probably the most known.

"Blessed is the person whose disobedience is forgiven,
 and whose sin is pardoned.
Blessed is the person whom the Lord no longer accuses of sin
and who has no deceitful thoughts."
Psalm 32: 1-2 [God's Word Translation]

Following our Bible study I was surprised with a "pre-birthday" Tiramisu cake.  Have you ever eaten Tiramisu?  Umm, umm good!  I've never made one of these cakes, but I've been reading lots of recipes.  Tiramisu is usually made with lady fingers, but the dessert below was a delicious sponge cake.  I don't even want to know how many calories were in it!

May God bless your week!

P.S.  Pennsylvania's "Punxsutawney Phil," the famed ground hog weather predictor, saw his shadow today, meaning there'll be six more weeks of winter.  But Michigan's "Woody the Woodchuck" wouldn't even come out of his home!  Does that mean Michiganders will have more than six weeks of winter???  I hope not!

"Happy Ground Hog Day!"  ;-)

  1. Good morning Phyllis,
Happy Birthday, my friend! My sweet DIL always makes me Tiramisu for my birthday.
I love learning about King David as he really did have a heart after God and has taught us so much with his humility and failings. I love your beautiful Lady Carlyle teapot and teacup! Have a beautiful day.

    Blessings,
    Sandi
