Hints for the Holidays - Part II

After I clicked "publish" on yesterday's post, our power went out for 13 hours.  I wondered if I'd be able to post today since the power went out briefly a second time, but so far so good. It's the result of the high winds our area has been experiencing.

I'm picking up where I left off yesterday with 11 more tablescapes.  My daughter said the vivid colors in the tablescape below is something Tiffany [my granddaughter] would like.

A Christmassy Tablescape

Dickens' Christmas Carolers

Notice the sheet music for placemats.  Clever idea!

This table was a hit for dog lovers.

The table below held a very pleasant surprise.  As soon as I saw the Swedish candelabra, Dala horse and St. Lucia dolls and figurines, I told my daughter the tablescape belonged to someone with a Scandinavian heritage.   Turns out it was the guest speaker's table, and she and my hubby have known each other since childhood - although many years have lapsed since our families have seen each other.  Cheri's husband is Swedish.

St. Lucia Day is celebrated on December 13th.

I couldn't wait to get home and tell my hubby, "Guess who I saw!"

The next four tables were set by ministry groups in the church.  Below is a Ladies' Bible Study table - hence the stack of books in the center, and the scripture placemats.

The pink and black tablescape was set by Sweet Fridays Ministry - Mom's for all ages.

Caravan Ministries [a children's scouting program] table below.

Another Children's Ministry table.

Come back tomorrow for the remaining 11 tablescapes, and I'll also be sharing the scrumptious meal menu.

  1. Thanks for sharing this series of posts.

  2. I'm so glad the power stayed on for you to get these posted - but sorry it was off for so long yesterday! I've been looking forward to more pretty tablescapes and these didn't disappoint. The Christmas table with the red and green chargers, alternating, was so pretty. And the Bible study group used beautiful clear Candlewick plates - I have some, and will borrow this idea in the future. The children's table with the balloon centerpiece was so cute! And I love the pink and black one, too. I could go on and on - I put most of these on my Pinterest board so I can find them easily when I need inspiration. Thank you again for sharing all these.

  3. What creativity! My dog-loving niece would go wild over that table for the dog lovers!

Thank you for visiting my blog. If you would like to leave a comment, I'd love to hear from you!
