All Things Tea...

It's always a good day when a package from Harney & Sons tea arrives in the mail.  I ordered a 1 lb. bag of Blueberry Green loose tea for me and a 20 sachet tin for my son, Jeremy, and 2 boxes of Raspberry Herbal for each of us.

With St. Patrick's Day right around the corner, I made reservations to attend a St. Patrick's Day tea with my hubby on March 16th.  It's hosted by Pamela's Catering, who caters my church teas.  It's open to the public so if you're local and have an interest, the informational flier is below.

We have the date on the calendar for our ladies spring tea at church - Saturday, April 26th. More details will be forthcoming.

If you like wholesome, enjoyable entertainment, don't miss watching All Creatures Great and Small on PBS Masterpiece.  Season 5, with seven episodes just concluded last Sunday night but hubby and I will definitely be watching old episodes from previous seasons.  You're sure to see tea scenes in every episode - not at fancy tea parties, but in everyday living.  It's filmed in the Yorkshire Dales, so if you're an Anglophile, this program's for you.

It's the retelling of the life of James Alfred ["Alf"] Wright [1916 - 1995], better known by his pen name, James Herriot, who was a British veterinarian, and is set in the 1930's and 1940's.

If you're a Downton Abbey fan like me, you're excited about the release of the third Downton Abbey movie this September.  The second movie [A New Era] was released in 2022.  Maggie Smith won't be in this movie [she died Sept. 2024], and we will miss her wit and sarcasm but I'm looking forward to Downton Abbey 3 in spite of her absence.  I'm sure there will be lots of elegant tea scenes to enjoy.

I've heard a 7th Season of Downton Abbey is also in the works [season 6 ended in 2015], but I couldn't find anything to verify that.  We can only hope.

  1. I love tea and your St. Patrick’s Day flyer is gorgeous!

I’m a fan of both shows you mentioned and I think if they were to do a new season of Downton it’d be interesting to do WWII era. George would be in the service, and Marigold and Sybbie involved too!
