Cristy's English Garden Interlude Tea

It's been awhile since I've been to one of Cristy Bennett's teas, but my girlfriend and I finally made it to one on June 25th.  The theme was English Garden Interlude - A Special Secret Garden with Floral and Fanciful Delights.  As usual it was fabulous!   Her porch always sets the stage for what's to come inside.

I loved the quilt on Cristy's wicker settee with fabric that looks like Sandy Clough artwork. Cristy said she had it a long time, so it's probably not available anymore.

This is the beautiful tablescape we saw when we stepped inside her front door.

Cristy and husband, David, passing out chilled Sparkling Rose-Rosehips White Grape Juice.

This was one of my favorite menus because it was so summery and fresh, as though ingredients had just been picked from the garden. 1st Course: Chilled English Cucumber Soup with Strawberry Cream Scones.

2nd Course:  Baked Roma Tomato-Basil Pie, Strawberry Spinach Salad, and Cucumber-Mint Couscous.  It was delicious.

~ 3rd Course:  Strawberry-Angel Cake Parfait ~

Thanks for another wonderful tea, Cristy!

  4. I wondered in the past and now again if this is something like an underground tea room. By that I mean a "business" without going public? She did a fabulous job!

  5. How can we get a private table here in September? and How can we fit it into our already filled schedule? I would love to experience one of her teas!
