On September 25th I blogged about attending a Garden Walk and High Tea in White Lake, MI. Click here to see that post. Yesterday afternoon/evening my friend, Lori, and I returned to the same lady's home for a Christmas High Tea. With temperatures in the teens there definitely wasn't a garden walk, but we got to enjoy the warm comforts of Susie's lovely home.
Lori and I were among the first ladies to arrive, so we waited for the others in Susie's sun room that was beautifully decorated for Christmas.
The tree was decorated with red cardinals and snowflakes.
As cold as it was, if you look closely at the blue bird feeder outside Susie's sun room, you'll notice a real cardinal eating its supper inside.

Hors d' oeuvres were served in the sun room - delicious stuffed mushrooms.
From the sun room we went into Susie's formal dining room for the high tea meal. The table was beautifully set with vintage burgundy water goblets, and antique opalescent white Depression glass cups and saucers. 14 ladies gathered around the table. Even the chandelier was decorated!

Our meal began with French Onion Soup.

The soup was followed by a homemade Crescent Roll, Fresh Fruit, and refreshing Sorbet. The tea served was a delightful, subtle Earl Grey.
The main course, and it tasted as good as it looks!
Dessert was Chocolate Mousse and a Pecan Turtle. A delicate Apple-Cinnamon tea was served with the dessert.
