Happy New Year!

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Philippian church:  "...Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."

2019 is a blank slate.  None of us can change the past, and living with regret is self-defeating.  Pressing on toward what is ahead is God's plan for the new year.  With His help and grace, 2019 will be a great year!

My hubby and I went to a matinee this afternoon to see Mary Poppins Returns.  It was SO good!  I highly recommend it.  Emily Blunt stars as Mary Poppins, and you'll enjoy seeing Colin Firth, Meryl Streep, Dick Van Dyke and Angela Lansbury in the movie too.

The top two blog posts in 2018 were written on June 5th, Southern Tea Time Getaway, Day 4 Part II with 410 views, and May 21st Office Renovation with 393 views.

The 10-day, tea-themed trip to Atlanta, Savannah, and Charleston was one we'll never forget and definitely a highlight of 2018.

I was surprised my office renovation ranked second among the most viewed posts. The finished project is one I've thoroughly enjoyed, and it truly was a transformation.  When I look at the before picture, I wonder how I ever functioned in the old cluttered office.

The highlight of the year for me, aside from a wonderful family and great friends, was being hired by The Whitney in Detroit to be their Tea Director.  It was a dream come true.

Only the Lord knows what lies ahead in 2019, but I do know I'll have a new great-granddaughter in March, and sweet little Evie will have a new little sister.

Tiffany just posted this picture today from a wedding John was in over the weekend.  It's so good I had to share it!   Tiff looks so cute with her little baby bump.

A trip to California is in the making, and as time permits I'll take you along on all my adventures via this blog.  I'm looking forward to enjoying the New Year with you!
