Blueberry/Peach Pound Cake on Yellow and Blue Chintz

My family really likes blueberry/peach cobbler, so when I saw a photo and recipe for blueberry/peach pound cake at this website recently, I immediately printed it and bought the ingredients to make it.

I was also eager to set a tablescape using the yellow and blue/gray chintz dishes I received for Christmas.

What could be better than a slice of delicious pound cake, a cup of comforting peach/apricot tea, and cheery chintz dishes to remind me spring is on the way?

  4. Just beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! I love your chintz dishes!!!

I once saw a tablesetting in a magazine that inspired me. They used blue and white transferware china set on a yellow toile tablecloth. It was stunning! Your china reminds me of that picture! I've looked and looked for a yellow toile print to make a tablecloth. I cannot find it (although a year before I had purchased some that I gave to a friend). I guess it gives me something to "look for' now.

  9. Your cake looks delicious, Phyllis. And I love your china! I saw that exact pattern at HomeSense when we were in Vancouver visiting my son at Christmas time, only it was gray and cream and another set was blue and cream. They were gorgeous and I so wanted to buy a few pieces but had no way of getting them back home. Love the yellow! Thank you for sharing and coming to tea.

    Blessings,
    Sandi
