John and Tiffany's New House

Since I've shared many things about my granddaughter, Tiffany, on my blog, I thought you would enjoy seeing the house she and John will be moving into this Saturday.

The 104 year old house is near Lansing, MI.  They are the fifth owners, and the previous owner gave them articles and old photos of the house, including one of the man who built the house when the basement was being dug out.

The former owners are Christians, and when they finished closing on the house they asked if they could pray a blessing over John and Tiffany.  It was a very special time.

Tiff and John are looking forward to making many happy memories in their new house with the cute picket fence!

I wonder how many cups of tea have been drunk in this house over the past 104 years?  ;-)

  1. What a charming house! I wish them many years of happiness, and many cups of tea, in their new home.

  2. Phyllis, what a beautiful home! Perfect setting for afternoon tea. And, to think, only 5 families have lived in it in all this time -- certainly represents stability!

  3. Oh, how wonderful for them! And I love the color of the house (of course). That's amazing that this house has had relatively few owners over the years. And I love that the sellers prayed a blessing over Tiffany and John. That is awesome!

  5. Oh how wonderful. I love it when a house has housed Christians. I think you can feel it in the house. Such was the case with the house we have lived in 22 years.

  6. I agree - a charming house! And I am very jealous of the historical documents. My house was built in 1892 as a parsonage but there are no photos or other records from the family, church or local historical society. My father, who has collected nearly 3,000 postcards of our small town, can't even find anything on my house...

  8. What a beautiful house and interesting history! I am an "old house person" and it is so good to see a young couple starting out with a historical home. Love the color and picket fence!
