Lunch Date at Panera Bread

My third-in-line [out of six] granddaughter, Brianna, has been home on Christmas break from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN.  She leaves to go back tomorrow [Friday], so I scheduled a lunch date with her yesterday before her departure.  She loves Panera Bread and worked there in her senior year of high school, so that's where we went.

Panera is one of the few nicer fast-food restaurants that serves quality tea by Republic of Tea, and you can even get a scone to go with it in their bakery section.

I really like their Ginger Peach tea, and that's what I got yesterday.  On a cold, wintry day [high of 20 degrees] it really tasted good.  Bri is a tea drinker, but opted for water.  She was a very inexpensive date, watching her post-holiday calories.

She got a salad, and I got Broccoli Cheddar soup in a bread bowl.  Yummy!

We enjoyed our time together.  Brianna is half-way through her Junior year, and is looking forward to beginning a new semester when she returns, as well as leaving Michigan's cold temperatures behind!  I'll miss you, Brianna, but look forward to seeing you again on spring break!

  2. So glad you could have some one-on-one time with your sweet granddaughter. And Panera is a great choice! Unfortunately there isn't one close to me, but it's a favorite choice when I visit Chattanooga.
