New Teas to Taste and Notecards from Michael's

LaDonna L., fellow blogger at Gracious Hospitality, recently sent me a lovely tea themed get well card containing teapot bookmarkers, and a  tea sac of Lavender Grey black tea from the herbal apothecary at B.  Fuller's Mortar & Pestle, in  Seattle, Washington.  The  company was founded in 2009.

Using my tea-for-one, I could smell the gentle scent of lavender as the tea steeped. While the lavender could  be tasted, it wasn't overpowering, and  no sweetening  was needed.  I found it to be a lovely, mild, comforting tea to accompany my breakfast.  Thank you, LaDonna!

Linda J., good friend and author of Friendship Tea blog sent a package of Earl Grey Green tea that she purchased during her recent visit to Yesterday's Cafe and Tea Room in Florence, Kentucky.

The dry leaves are interesting to see - some are curly and some are rolled [although not as tightly as Dragon Pearls].  Cornflower petals are among the tea leaves.  It is flavored with bergamot and Cornish cream.

The steeped tea yielded a yellow/green color.   The bergamot was subtle and was the initial taste, but it gave way to a soft after taste of Cornish cream.  A very nice tea.  Sending thankful hugs your way, Linda!

And tea friend, Teresa W., from Ohio, also sent a pretty tea themed get well card. I don't know how she found time to do it amidst all her travels with Afternoon Tea Across America's Traveling Teapot, but she did!  Thanks, Teresa!

To everyone who sent cards, phoned, or wrote encouraging comments on my blog during my recovery, a heartfelt thanks!

During a quick return trip to Michael's I discovered they had put some new tea-themed notecards in their $1 bins, so, of course, I had to buy them and share a photo with you, so you can find them at your local Michael's!

  1. You're welcome, Phyllis. I'm so glad you enjoyed the tea. You probably know by now that I am quite partial to lavender --- and I really love the subtle qualities of this lavender grey tea.

I made a trip to Michaels as well --- to stock up on the tea themed items --- just as so many of our tea friends are doing. And always enjoy ME designs.

Enjoy your day and keep gaining strength and wellness.
