When I left the Deaborn Historical Museum on Saturday, I drove a short distance to the Henry Ford Museum [also in Dearborn]. My intention wasn't to tour the museum, but to visit their gift shop which has great books. I wanted to see what they had pertaining to fashions during the Downton Abbey time period.
The museum and village are lovely any time of the year, but especially at Christmastime.
The main entrance is painted light blue so, of course, I love it!
The gift shop didn't disappoint, and I confess I came out with more than books! How could I resist a teacup tea towel, especially when it was marked down from $12.99 to $8.97!
A teapot trivet.
A paperback book about tea which I haven't seen before.
And four great books about hats, shoes, and garments. I could hardly wait to get home and look through them. I'm well on my way to researching Downton Abbey fashions.
I'm going to Holiday Nights at the village again this year! I love that place so :-)
