Lots of current activities have been happening while I've been blogging about my England trip, and I'll be sure to share them all as soon as my trip posts are finished, but I had to interrupt for just one day to wish my hubby a Happy Anniversary!
Forty-nine years ago today I married my high school sweetheart. Can it really be 49 years? Where has the time gone? I used to think people who were married this long were really old, but I changed my mind a few years ago! ;-)
"Grow old along with me, Jerry, the best is yet to be!"
My best girlfriend, and Maid of Honor in my wedding, sent us the anniversary card below picturing two teacups filled with tea. When it arrived in the mail, I commented about what a cute card with teacups, and Jerry said, "Is there any other kind that would be suitable for you?" ;-) Thanks, Sandy!
We have plans to see the movie, "Far From the Madding Crowd" this afternoon, followed by dinner at a nice restaurant. I'll be sure to report back on the British movie - like teacup cards, is there any other kind of movie I would enjoy seeing more? The movie was advertised on billboards in tube stations while I was in England, and the trailer looks great.
Happy Anniversary! We are at 39 years here. Doesn't the time go by fast? I can't believe that two teenagers could find each other and make the right choice. I hope you have a very special day!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary Phyllis and Jerry. Best wishes for a beautiful day spent together.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Enjoy your day and evening together!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary to you both! Yes, the teacup card is most appropriate. Enjoy the movie, and many more years together, filled with blessings.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day. I enjoyed the pictures. I looks like a couple ladies have hats on!
ReplyDeleteYes, and my mom and Jerry's mom both wore hats. If I have time I'll add a picture of them to this post. Gotta find the picture first! ;-)
Delete49 years is indeed a gift. Best wishes as you celebrate!
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Love the photos of you on your wedding day - such a beautiful bride and handsome groom.
