Georgetown, in Washington, D.C., is a very quaint neighborhood, and we were wishing we would have had more time to explore it. It's so suited for a tea room.

I took so many pictures at the Smithsonian and DAR building, that my camera battery went dead shortly after we arrived at the tea room. Definitely not a good thing for a blogger! Thankfully my two traveling buddies came to my rescue with their cameras.
Linda, the other member of our 'threesome', was sick in bed for most of the day, but she joined us for tea at Lady Camellia's.

We loved the charming decor of the tea room, which seats about 16. They just celebrated the first anniversary of its opening in February.

Choice of two Sandwiches: Egg Salad, Smoked Salmon & Creme Fraiche, and Ham, Brie & Apple.

After our Afternoon Tea, Sandy and I took a taxi to Ford's Theatre for the 7:30 p.m. performance of Freedom's Song, while Linda went back to the hotel to rest.
The museum on the lower level was open an hour before the performance, so we looked around there before going up to the balcony to our seats.

We enjoyed the performance, then took the Metro and shuttle back to our hotel. The end of day #2 in Washington, D.C.
