Yesterday I joined five of my high school girlfriends for lunch at JP McGire's Waterfront restaurant in Gibraltar, MI. It was a beautiful day so we opted to eat outside.
The restaurant is located in Humbug Marina on the lower part of the Detroit River where it flows into Lake Erie.

Deep-fried mushrooms were ordered to share and I have never seen such huge mushrooms served at a restaurant before. They were yummy [if you're a mushroom lover - which I am].
Four of us got the Michigan Cherry/Chicken Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette Dressing and two got a Reuben Sandwich.
We sat in the fresh air and sunshine getting caught up on each other's news and it was a great day! What have you been enjoying this summer?
