I'm feeling a bit nostalgic today. It's my mom's birthday. If she were still living she'd be celebrating her 94th birthday today, but she passed away on Aug. 17, 2014, just a few weeks shy of her 93rd birthday.
Even though young, I can still vividly remember the red slingback, navy blue platform, and white ankle strap high heels she was wearing in three of the photos below. It's probably because of her that I grew up loving shoes!
Her greatest legacy was teaching me about Jesus, so I could make the most important decision of my life - choosing to live for Him.

I'm thankful for the Christian hope [promise] of seeing her again in Heaven someday.
The Apostle Paul wrote to the Church in Thessalonica about believers who died in their faith: "Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep [died] in Him." I Thessalonians 4:13-14 [NIV]
As I remember her today, I rejoice in the promise that for Christians being separated by mortal death is only temporary.
May God bless your week!
