On September 25th I wrote a post about my newly established tea angel collection. Since then, thanks to E-bay, I have acquired one more. She is made of resin, but there are no markings on the bottom so I don't know who the manufacturer is. She's 9 1/2 inches tall, which makes her the tallest of the collection.
She arrived in the mail around the same time that I was booking the banquet facility for our Ladies' Fifth Annual Christmas Tea at church, so I took my cue from her for this year's theme, Angels.
It will be held on Saturday, December 1st [always the first Saturday in December], at Enchantment Banquet Facility - where last year's Christmas Tea was held.
I will use Angel Christmas Tree Toppers for centerpieces, and dessert will be a festive Angel Food Cake. I haven't decided yet if I'll have individual angel food cakes or 1 large angel food cake per table. Our Scripture verse to take into the New Year will be Psalm 91:11 "He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways."

In previous years ladies volunteered to decorate a table, but not last year. I provided centerpieces, holiday placemats, and silver teapots for each table, and the banquet facility provided the rest. That's the plan again this year.
The banquet facility allows me to make a tea concentrate and bring my urns the day of the tea party. They provide coffee for ladies who don't want tea.
We always have a silent auction at our Christmas Tea. In previous years it was new [or nearly new] household items, but last year we auctioned gently used costume jewelry, and it was very successful. It will be a costume jewelry silent auction again this year. Below is just one of the jewelry display tables. I bought cardboard jewelry boxes at the $ store to place the jewelry selections in.
In upcoming posts I will share photos from previous Christmas Teas so you can see the various tablescapes. It's fun to see the creativity of the ladies.
