I was shopping yesterday and came across a display that took me back many years to when I was still living with my parents. I couldn't resist taking a picture of it. I received a lot of CorningWare for my bridal shower and wedding, and I still have it and use it.
CorningWare came out in 1958 with it's iconic Cornflower pattern. I recently wrote a post about getting the CorningWare stove-top teapot/kettle at an estate sale. Do you have CorningWare Cornflower dishes? Happy 60th Anniversary CorningWare!
On another subject... I'll be taking a blogging break for a few days.

I got the Corningware with the "Harvest Gold" pattern of fruits/veggies as wedding presents, I still have some of it and I have some of my mother's with the cornflower blue design, which is more to my taste anyway. I may have to check out their anniversary pieces. Have a nice break!
ReplyDeleteWe have a few of the Cornflower pattern from Corning Ware.

Me too! But I bought most of mine myself. I like the Autumn Harvest, while Mom liked the Cornflower. We both still have all of ours although I did break one of my casseroles when I dropped it on my granite counter top. And I inherited one of my MIL's Pyrex mixing bowls in a turquoise color with little folkart people. While we were clearing out her house I tried for the whole set but sadly the sis in laws put the others in the donation box without my knowing. The only reason I got this one was they had it in the driveway with water for the dog.
