The title of O'Mara's November tea had already been publicized as "A Boun-Tea-ful Harvest" before they asked me to coordinate it, so I opted to stay with that title. I chose how I wanted to carry out the theme, however.
I decided on honoring a 'cornucopia of great women' who had November birthdays: Vivien Leigh, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Princess Grace of Monaco, Mamie Eisenhower, and Marie Antoinette. We'll also be honoring ladies in attendance with November birthdays.

Tablescapes are my responsibility, so five centerpieces are done with five more to go. I'm learning church isn't the only organization that expects things done nicely on a shoestring budget! ;-)
I'll be demonstrating three 'fun' edible food items for Thanksgiving, two of which can be used at each place setting with a name card attached. Children love all three. The turkeys below are one of the items. I've been making them for years, and prefer them over the Oreo turkeys on Pinterest.
For local readers, if you haven't made your reservation yet, call O'Mara's at 248-399-6750. They are located at 12 Mile and Coolidge in Berkley, MI. The tea is from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m., and the price is $25.00 plus tax and gratuity [$31.00]. Hope to see you there. Bring a friend!
Your centerpieces are darling but oh, I love those cute turkeys! Lots of work for you, though - O'Mara's is indeed fortunate to have you helping them.
ReplyDeleteI love those turkeys! And wow, I didn't realize that you're now doing some freelance tea work for O'Mara's, so good for you -- and them!
ReplyDeleteHow lucky O'Mara's are to have you help out! Love your centerpieces and I will have to try to make the turkey cookies! So cute! I know it will be a wonderful tea with you there!
