Quester's Luncheon Tablescapes

Last Saturday, March 28th, my girlfriend and I attended the annual Quester's luncheon for the Mah-Nah-Be-Zee Chapter.

As you can see from the ticket and program cover, this year's theme was "Oh, the Many Places You Can Go," and the 55 tables carried out that theme.

~ Our table of ladies ~

We sat at table #48 which was called "Tea Time" - the perfect table for a group of tea lovers! My friend, Linda, [middle, seated] filled the table, but didn't set it.

The pretty china was Eggshell Nautilus by Homer Laughlin.  Although our table wasn't in the 'Top Ten', it was a winner with us!

I  won't show all 55 tablescapes in this post.  They'll be divided into four posts, with today's including the 'Top Ten' plus our table.  I hope you'll enjoy this series as much as I enjoyed viewing the tablescapes. I scurried around trying to photograph them all, and I think I succeeded.  There were a few less tables this year than last year.

~ 10th Place Table ~
"A One-derful Birthday Party" - Table #3
The lady who did this table recreated her granddaughter's first birthday party.

~ 9th Place Table ~
"Catalina Dressing"  - Table #17
[Catalina Island, California]

 ~ 8th Place Table ~
"Reflections of Another Time" - Table #41

~ Many tables had decorated chairs to coordinate ~

~ 7th Place Table ~
"Emerald City" - Table #51

~ 6th Place Table ~
"A Day at the Kentucky Derby" - Table #50

~ 5th Place Table ~
"Theresa's Tea Room" - Table #29

Look at the beautiful tablecovering!

You can tell I'm partial to tea themes since I took the most photos of this table!

I loved the chair backs with a pair of lady's gloves dangling!

~ 4th Place Table ~
"Cherry Blossoms" - Table #9
This table was special since I'll soon be visiting the Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C.

~ 3rd Place Table ~
"Exploring the Global World of Disney" - Table #25

Each chair cover was a different Disney character and on the seat was the movie.

~ 2nd Place Table ~
"Dinner at Cathy's" - Table #8
[This was my #1 pick.  It was so elegant.]

~ 1st Place Table ~
"Bee Happy in Our Garden" - Table #16
[Whimsy wins over elegance.  Or maybe there were a lot of gardeners in attendance.]

More tablescapes tomorrow.

  2. What a fun day to see so many different creative ideas on Tea Tables. It would be hard to pick a favorite; they are all so nice. I like #41 and #29; and of course the table you sat at was wonderful too. They all deserve a ribbon for being so creative.
